Long bio

George Christopher is a Principal Investor at CoinFund, a blockchain-native investment firm founded in 2015, who backs founders building in payments, stablecoins, and onchain finance infrastructure. He began his career in traditional finance as an investment banking analyst at AGC Partners, before moving into growth-stage venture at Battery Ventures, where he focused on software investments. George came to crypto with a conviction that the current financial system isn't working for most people and that the infrastructure for how money actually moves globally is being rebuilt onchain. That belief is what drives who he backs at CoinFund: founders building stablecoin infrastructure, agentic payments, and the fintech products designed for the people the current system overlooks.

George is particularly interested in what hard money and decentralized capital formation mean for younger generations looking to build wealth outside of traditional financial structures, and sees stablecoins and blockchain payment rails as the most immediate and practical entry point for that. Portfolio companies George has backed at CoinFund include Dakota, Trace Finance, and Edge Markets.

He writes and speaks on payments, stablecoins, and what onchain financial infrastructure means for the next generation of consumers, and is a regular presence at fintech and crypto conferences. Outside of investing, he is into live music, good food, and golf. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Dartmouth College.
